A Transforming Robot Can Be Both a Humanoid and a Robot Dog

T1 is a robot that can transform itself between humanoid and robot-dog forms. It normally moves upright using two legs and wheels; when it reaches a step, it transforms into a quadruped, crosses the obstacle on four legs, and then stands back up as a humanoid.

The robot is about one meter tall and weighs roughly 16 kg. It was developed by China's Qiyuan Robotics and went on sale from 19,999 yuan, with shipments scheduled from October 1.

ファニトロちゃん:びっくり

Humanoid robots and robot dogs are already two major robot genres. T1 apparently decided there was no need to choose just one.

An Ambulance Built to Rescue Broken Humanoid Robots

GMO AI & Robotics Trading is introducing a maintenance vehicle dedicated to humanoid robots. When a robot breaks down, it can bring engineers, diagnostic equipment, spare parts, and even a replacement humanoid. If the machine cannot be repaired on site, it can be taken away while the substitute takes over.

The vehicle is designed as a mobile maintenance base staffed by engineers who routinely work on humanoids. Practical infrastructure for robots now looks surprisingly like emergency medical support for machines.

ファニトロちゃん:びっくり

The ambulance does not just bring tools for the broken robot; it can arrive with a replacement robot too. Robot society is already developing something that looks suspiciously like emergency services.

About 30 Robots Join a Demonstration Calling for AI Regulation

A demonstration about the impact of AI and robotics on jobs put roughly 30 robots on the pavement alongside its message. On September 7, humanoids and quadruped robots appeared outside Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs in Warsaw, carrying flags and moving in circles.

The machines were not independently protesting. The event was staged by Democratism, an initiative seeking public debate over automation and the labor market. Chants were played through loudspeakers, and robots including an AgiBot A3 operated by Delta Robots took part.

Poland’s digital affairs minister also met the organizers. The visual argument was unusually literal: to warn that robots may replace human work, the organizers recruited robots to perform the protest itself.

ファニトロちゃん:むふふ

Having robots deliver the message “protect jobs from robots” makes the demonstration feel both more convincing and less convincing at exactly the same time.

IFA Puts Robots on the Runway Instead of Human Models

The runway at IFA 2026 featured humanoids and quadruped robots rather than human models. During the September 5 “Robots on the Runway” event, machines walked the stage, struck poses, danced and performed moves including backflips.

IFA’s official program listed participants such as Primebot Robots, EngineAI, Dobot, DEEP Robotics, AgiBot and Unitree. Instead of limiting the machines to booths and specification sheets, the event presented their sensing and motion-control abilities as a live runway show.

A space normally built around clothes and human presentation thus became a robotics demonstration. Once machines acquired humanlike bodies, apparently one of the next tasks waiting for them was learning how to make an entrance.

ファニトロちゃん:キメポーズ

Give a robot a human-shaped body and, sooner or later, somebody will ask it to work the runway. Apparently presentation skills are part of embodiment too.

A Humanoid Robot Will Lead Wellness Exercises at Brisbane Festival

At Brisbane Festival, a 130 cm humanoid named QUTie will lead visitors through wellness exercises. The Unitree G1-based robot is used by QUT's Centre for Robotics for human-robot interaction research.

It has been trained on the movement routine using motion capture, can walk, run, dance and roll, and is scheduled to guide public exercise sessions on September 22 and 23. The fitness instructor of the future may be the one participant whose movements are literally programmed.

ファニトロちゃん:くすくす

When the wellness coach is a robot, the person saying “move your body naturally” is also the most programmed one there. Oddly persuasive.

One Cheerleading Robot Collapses, Then Keeps Doing the Routine from the Floor

During a cheerleading performance at the World Humanoid Robot Games, roughly ten humanoids were dancing in sync when one suddenly collapsed. Its control sequence apparently kept running, because the fallen machine continued moving its arms and legs from the floor.

The other robots carried on upright while staff approached to retrieve it, leaving one participant performing the same routine at an entirely different height.

ファニトロちゃん:笑い震え

The body has fallen, but the program is still cheerful. It's like nobody updated the robot's situation.

Weightlifting Robot Crashes into the Judges' Table, Then Leaves on a Stretcher

At the World Humanoid Robot Games, a humanoid attempting a weightlifting event lifted the barbell, toppled forward and crashed into the judges' table. The failed lift was dramatic enough, but what followed made the scene look even more like a conventional sports broadcast.

Staff picked up the fallen machine, placed it on a stretcher and carried it away. From competition failure to post-incident removal, the sequence accidentally mirrored the familiar rhythm of an injured athlete leaving the field.

ファニトロちゃん:笑い転げる

By the end, the robot is getting the full injured-athlete treatment. A stretcher adds an amazing amount of sports drama.

Faster Than a Human over 100 Meters. Stopping After the Finish Is Still a Problem

At the World Humanoid Robot Games 100-meter final, Tiangong Ultra recorded 8.64 seconds while several robots continued into protective barriers after crossing the finish line. Sprinting speed has advanced quickly; post-race stopping remains a separate challenge.

Reuters footage showed machines hitting walls, one requiring a fire extinguisher and others being carried away. Impressive running performance and unfinished stopping control appeared side by side at the same finish area.

ファニトロちゃん:冷や汗笑い

An 8.64-second run is impressive, then the scene after the finish suddenly looks like an incident report. Speed and composure are clearly separate subjects.
